PROs: AMAZING audio; great components for that price; super fast — plays all the latest mmorpgs; beautiful anti-glare screen; 2-year service contract with 1-year injury protection; aesthetically desirable; great typing directly into experience.
CONs: Cable for sub-woofer is too short; AC adapter is bigger than average; touch pad might be erratic at times; weight and battery daily life not made for the typical traveler; would have already been nice if it came with a out of the way; keyboard is not really back-lit. Read more

ASUS N53SV-DH72 Full This ASUS N53SV-DH72 laptop adjusted way beyond my anticipation!
I have trouble even finding words to go into detail this laptop. Beautiful, sleek, powerful & truely plays games incredibly well! Looks like a stealth fly & built like a tank! I purchased this notebook computer to play Battlefield 3 & Skyrim (when it arrives), never seeing a notebook computer play graphically intense games as well as a gaming desktop, I was doubtful. But after loading BF3 & firing it up, those doubts disappeared instantaneously! The auto graphic settings inside the game set everything in order to ultra & high & plays at those levels with no glitch. Come on Skyrim!
I did plenty connected with research & comparisons between this & other Asus g74, g73 & g53 models & the DH73-3D model earned out, even despite its selling price. All the issues that other models experienced have been fixed in this model. I keep trying to find a con or issue with this laptop but haven’ t yet other next the 3D mode switch close to the power switch solely switched between different power modes until I did so the 203 BIOs update(which was easy as pie, lol). This fixed the button to do something only as a switch to show on or off the actual 3D & switching between different power modes is now controlled by the purpose btn & space bar. Have I mentioned that laptop is freaking Lovely!!! 120hz Screen is INCREDIBLE!!!! Worth the price difference from the models without it.
The 3D is amazing & works so effortlessly. I purchased a 3D Blu-ray to test out the 3D movie factor, beautiful. Just pop it throughout & put on your cups & enjoy. Gaming in 3D is also really amazing, cool & has brought life to many of my older video game titles like CounterStrike Source. The first time I started CSS for this laptop (and haven’ t adjusted any configurations yet), the game started & it was playing throughout 3D, talk about taking an old game & turning it into a fresh one. I didn’ t even know CSS could be played in 3D. Can’ t wait to test it with other games. Amazing!
I really like the actual included gaming mouse, in fact I are using it instead connected with my Logitech G700, it reminds me most of the older Logitech MX games mice. Didn’ t find much connected with any bloat-ware. If you are intending to reload OS, at least start that up & do the online subscription & don’ t forget to mail within your warranty card asap additionally. Sound is loud & clear. When I plug inside my headphones, it only gets much better.
The cooling truely is usually amazing, after playing BF3 for some hours & then stopping, the air coming out from the back cools off throughout minutes showing how very well it dissapates heat & runs cool.

Skyrim runs flawlessly for this computer, auto-detect sets the artwork to ultra settings & playing it in 3D is even more awesome.
Added SSD drive, So now its even quicker & a little lighter, worth the upgrade.

ASUS G73SW-XA1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop (Black) This is my very first & most likely my previous review on Amazon. Usually I just read the comments & decide for myself perhaps the product is worthwhile, but this time, I hope to assist the readers with my experience, & maybe answer the same questions I had. I spent nearly 20 hours searching for the best possible balance between value & specifications. I was hesitant on this laptop for several motives. For one I engage in WoW. For those that don’ t know, it’ s a very requiring game graphically. To be honest, that was my just concern. The CPU/RAM/HD, those are the stuff that come standard on every single machine. No gaming laptop dares to make use of an i5 nowadays, unless they’ re Alienware, in which case, you might as well burn your hard earned dollars before further feeding this trolls facilitating the charges at that company. An equivalent machine via Alienware would run you over two thousand, & I checked. A 17" AW still lacks this 1080p. Seriously? Brands shouldn’ t charge an extra thousand for his or her terrible reputation, & their customer service screenplay reading monkeys.
So the pros:
-The display is purely amazing. High gloss with 1080p. Everything looks pristine. Just simply gorgeous.
-I was really dreading this keyboard, based on reviews, until I was in a position to finally try it for myself. It’ s great. Bright & spaced, & has a soft effect.
-The design of this laptop looks god awful on the spot. Not in person. It’ s brilliant. Has a really one of a kind & comfortable texture, both on the exterior & the palm rest region. Really has that stealthy biotech design the engineers were going for. Superb.
-The graphics card draws strong. The great thing would be the " dashboard", the area near the speakers is made up of mini buttons that connect to the motherboard. They establish the manner of power & display type. So if you’ re playing a activity, run high performance & turn your visuals to " Vivid". Looks great. Or if you’ re watching a film, turn it to activity mode & run the " Theater" display mode. Great innovation on this particular machine.
The only con I have is the sound. My previous laptop has been an XPS 1530, & the music on which machine, through headphones, was really amazing. I haven’ t spent enough time running through settings or browsing online to discover the necessary configurations to run similar on this machine. I would imagine it should, but maybe the XPS just really excelled in the sound department. Regardless, small infraction for what exactly is top notch engineering from the reputable company.
By the way, Amazon is the ideal company bar none with regards to customer service. I actually spent a bit more just to order this machine from their store, because regardless of the problem, I know they will certainly actively try & help the customer. & who can beat Leading? 2 Days & I had this upon my desk. Most gaming companies is going to take several weeks just to ship an already pre-configured machine.

ASUS Zenbook UX21E-DH71 11.6-Inch Thin and Light Ultrabook (Silver Aluminum) I am not some sort of Apple boy fan! However, seeing all the ASUS, SAMSUNG, ACER… so shamelessly copying the actual Apple Designs my center took a flutter & I thought I will certainly pen my thoughts. Forget the specs, as the base is underlying Intel from a CPU perspective or a NVIDIA/Likewise from a Graphics perspective & all the components would be the same in the computers today.
The only differential is I find myself between the computer today are:
- Design
- Program (AKA OS & this is rather very subjective)
Unfortunately folks from each of the above companies are only shamelessly copying Apple. COME ONE ASUS, SAMSUNG… BE ORIGINAL & CREATE SOMETHING ORIGINAL AS OPPOSED TO COPYING APPLE
- Program: This is a very subjective choice, However I feel likely towards Windows
- Online games Unfortunately Mac plays few games that i want (Like Lara Croft throughout Steam etc)

I am an IT professional and VERY picky with regards to my laptop. I read the reviews on this and was mixed between the good and bad on here, so I decided to visit a Microsoft Store and look it over on my own. I immediately was amazed how thin and light this was just like a MacBook Air (i always used and had prior to). I compared this towards Samsung series 9 laptop and although yes I wish it had a non-glossy screen it still beats it in price and performance.
Pros:
-Laptop does not demonstrate any traces of fingerprints (which annoyed myself with other laptops)
-Screen is very highly detailed and clear. Yes, its glossy but it is a “comfortable glossy” just like the macbook air
-Keys are very receptive and comfortable. You do have to press a tad bit more but I easily got utilized to it.
-The touchpad is the most beneficial I’ve ever used on any Windows laptop. Very smooth and responsive like a macbook.
-Great performance as it’s the i5 processor
-Super fast bootup along with screen on/off time
-Simple and basic with regards to ports (2) USB and HDMI that are positioned perfectly in the spine. I see no dependence on laptops to have numerous ports on the attributes and back adding bulk to it.
